You are lovers separated by distance. 

Your means of connection has been restricted to letters which you must entrust to ‘the system.’ 

Days, perhaps weeks go by as you wait for something... anything from your partner. 

Did your letter arrive?

Will they reply?

Can you wait patiently?

Has your heart grown distant?

Notes from Cole:

As I began thinking about how we have used letters throughout history and today, I realized just how much of ourselves and our trust we put in the postal system or in the applications we use to communicate with one another.

How many letters might we have missed because they were lost? 

Could we ever know? Have you ever written to someone and thought they just never replied? How did this make you feel?

For this letter writing game, you can be anyone you would like to be. Humans. Robots. Aliens. Politicians. Revolutionists. It can take place in any genre. In peace or at war.

But regardless of who you are, your letters must be handed over to another for transit. 

I have never made a game before, so feedback is welcome. 

I drew inspiration from Annie!'s Beyond Reach and Blind Devotion. And the inspiration for an optional settings table came from Riley Rethal's Say What You Mean.
